Reservoir extends 73 miles up the Clinch River and 56 miles up the Powell River from Norris Dam. Features hundreds of secluded coves, 2 state parks, two wildlife management areas, commercial marinas and 59 public access sites; numerous hiking trails; an abundance of wildlife can be spotted; gamefish includes bass and walleye; the TN state record brown trout was caught in the Clinch River below Norris Dam. Paddlers and anglers visiting Big Ridge State Park can access the lake just outside the entrance.

SUP and kayak rentals are available at Norris Lake through Norris Paddling Adventures at the Norris Dam Marina
