Written by three members of the Harvey Broome Group of the Sierra Club, the book recommends hikes close to town with potential for sightings of flowers, birds, vistas, or locations of historical events. The book includes directions, maps, and color photographs of each hike.
Urban Hikes has recently sold out, but is now available at several retail outlets including Mast General Store, Union Avenue Books, Blue Ridge Mountain Sports, Three Rivers Market, and the Knoxville Visitors Center. It can also be ordered online through this website.
