Over 850 miles of trail to explore; 2,900 miles of mountain streams to fish, many with sparkling waterfalls and cascades; angling experiences from remote, headwater trout streams to large, coolwater smallmouth bass streams; over 90 historic structures have been preserved or reconstructed; countless waterfalls and scenic overlooks; 11-mile one way paved Cades Cove road is a popular bicycling area with rentals available summer and fall; blooming flowers can be found nearly year-round in the park; there are 65 species of mammals, over 200 varieties of birds, 67 native fish species, and more than 80 types of reptiles and amphibians.
