Come see the thousands of blooming sunflowers that will be showcased at TWRA’s Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area (FRWMA) during the sixth bi-annual Knoxville Sunflower Celebration on Saturday, July 13th from 9 am-12pm.
Enjoying the festival is easy and FREE!
- Take a free shuttle from Maynard Glenn Ballfields, 2100 McClung Ave. Shuttles will run continuously from 9 am–12 pm.
- Join a guided tour of the sunflower fields every half hour from 9am-12pm leaving from the shuttle drop-off spot.
- Walk the two miles from Ijams Nature Center or 1.5 miles from Ijams Quarries. Parking at both locations is limited and there is a $5 parking fee.
- Hop on a free loaner bike from Kickstand Community Bike Shop and tour from the Will Skelton Greenway. Bikes will be set up in the parking lot inside FRWMA.
