The 28th annual Hill of Truth Festival will take place on October 4th at the Haw Ridge Campground just down from the CVTA HQ on Old Edgemoor Road.
The mountain bike race starts at 9am and continue for 12 hours. The race course will be approximately 8 miles and include climbing, roots, rocks, and at least one new trail. Racers can compete solo or as a team of 2 or 4 riders. All proceeds fund maintenance, improvements and new features at the Dirt Lab skills park at Haw Ridge Park. Register online.
HOT Trot trail running race on Saturday morning at 8am. 12K distance trail running race takes place on the same course as the mountain biking race. Haw Ridge is home to a number of trail running races throughout the year and we appreciate all of our trail users. If you don’t want to run, you can walk or bring the dog for a hike. There’s no limit on your fun, but the cutoff is at 11 a.m. Free kids race starts at 3 p.m.
The campfire will begin around dusk at the campground and participants are invited to take advantage of free camping Friday before the race as well as on Saturday evening.
