Sue Clancy Greenway Opens

Sue Clancy Greenway

We were honored to join the City of Knoxville in cutting the ribbon on a new section of greenway in Fountain City, named in honor of Sue Clancy.

More than 10 years in the making, the new half-mile connector fills a critical gap in Knoxville’s greenway system, providing a safe and accessible link between Adair Park and residents living north of the I-640/Broadway intersection and the neighborhoods and destinations south of Sharps Ridge.

Legacy Parks Foundation played a key role in helping make the project possible by negotiating the necessary easements across properties owned by the Knoxville Utilities Board and Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home and Lynnhurst Cemetery.

This new connection is another step toward creating a more connected greenway network and making it easier for residents to walk, bike and enjoy the outdoors close to home.
