The ribbon was cut on McBee Ferry Landing – a key access point on the Holston River. Previously, a 22-mile stretch of the river lacked public access, making it inaccessible to most recreational users. The park is a much-needed addition for users to be able to enjoy the river’s extraordinary fishing and paddling opportunities.

The waterfront park offers beautiful views of the historical Mascot bridge, a ramp for motorized and non-motorized boats, picnic areas and plenty of parking for boat trailers.

Legacy Parks purchased the four-acre property in 2017 with a grant from the Tennessee Heritage Conservation Fund and matching funds from TVA and Knox County. We donated the property to Knox County along with funds to provide the improvements.
