Angora Frog Farm

Created for little children with big imaginations, the Angora Frog Farm will be a whimsical story inspired park where you’ll learn, laugh, and play. The park will feature play structures that integrate into the storybook trail. Visitors will be prompted by storyboards to participate in an activity with Arvin the Frog as he makes his way through the park.

SoKno Art Trail

The 1.5 mile SoKno Art Trail along the rail line in the heart of South Knoxville’s business district will stretch from Chapman Highway to Island Home neighborhood. This cultural art trail will celebrate the art, history and natural beauty of our community.

French Broad Veterans Memorial Park

The French Broad Veterans Memorial Park, overlooking the French Broad River and the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, will be a reverent place for the community to gather, honor and celebrate our veterans.

Play Every Day Campaign

We are working to help our kids play every day by raising funds to convert five grass fields at John Tarleton Park to year-round, multi-use synthetic turf fields for football, soccer and lacrosse.

Head of the Tennessee River Initiative

We are focused on improving the health of and access to the Holston and French Broad Rivers – the two rivers that form the Tennessee River. Through a shoreline protection program and installation of fully-accessible docks, we are making the exceptional paddling recreational experience accessible for all.

Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek Water Trail

We are working collaboratively with Knox County to establish universal access to Beaver Creek, a 44-mile water trail and premier paddling destination that spans the length of Knox County.

Powell High Landing

Access for All

Playing in nature should be inclusive for all users. That’s why we are working to create all-access, adaptive trails in each quadrant of the county, and adding adaptive access points along our waterways so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.
