I.C. King Park Expansion

Legacy Parks assisted Knox County with a major expansion of the existing I.C. King Park by negotiating the acquisition of 70 acres on Maryville Pike and funding new trails within the additon. The new property allowed for a safer entry into the park plus the addition of a dog park, pavilion and playground. The new trails were funded by retail outfitter REI in collaboration with the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club. The TVA Retirees Association/Bicentennial Volunteers supported the project by donating two benches near the playground.
