Cruze Landing is an integral public access point to the French Broad River, approximately two miles downriver from Seven Islands State Birding Park. In 2020, Legacy Parks acquired the property to stabilize the deteriorating boat ramp and create the opportunity to improve the access and adjacent county park.
Legacy Parks is partnering will TWRA, TVA and Knox County to install a fully adaptive dock for non-motorized access and improve the ramp for motorized access. Construction will begin in mid-2024.
The improvements to Cruze Landing are part of Legacy Parks’ Head of the Tennessee Initiative – an effort to improve and increase public access to the waterways.
