Cruze Landing

Cruze Landing is an integral public access point to the French Broad River, approximately five miles downriver from Seven Islands State Birding Park. In 2021, Legacy Parks purchased the property in order to stabilize the deteriorating boat ramp and create the opportunity to improve the access and adjacent county park.

Through partnerships with Knox County, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), accessible launches for both motorized and non-motorized boats were constructed, connected by an accessible fishing pier. Additionally, the parking area was expanded and enhanced to better accommodate visitors.

The improvements to Cruze Landing are part of Legacy Parks’ Head of the Tennessee Initiative – an effort to improve and increase public access to the French Broad and Holston Rivers from the dams to downtown Knoxville.
