Join us for the 2025 Legacy Luncheon for the Parks!
September 26, 2025 | 11:30-1:00pm
Strong Stock Farm
The annual Legacy Luncheon for the Parks celebrates the work of Legacy Parks Foundation to preserve open space, expand parks, and improve the overall quality of life and economic vitality of our community. The event draws 1,000 business and civic leaders to a spectacular and unique outdoor location for a picnic-style luncheon.
In 2013, 25 million people worldwide cheered as Diana Nyad, at age 64, demonstrated the power of the human spirit by becoming the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage, a feat that took nearly 53 hours and covered 110 miles.
A prominent sports journalist, filing over thirty years for National Public Radio, The New York Times, and others, Diana has earned her place as one of our compelling storytellers.
Her story of determination is captured in her memoir Find a Way and the 2023 Netflix film Nyad.
